Intruder Alert: Grove Resident Injured in Frightening Early Morning Break-In

Thames Valley Police have reported a concerning incident on Prior Place, Grove, where three intruders entered a residence between 2.55am and 3.05am this morning (Thursday, March 13).

During the break-in, one of the intruders wielded a knife and assaulted a male resident who confronted them. Fortunately, the offenders did not take anything and fled on foot towards the A338 Station Road.

The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered a cut on his arm and a broken nose, requiring hospital care. Thankfully, his injuries are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

The offenders were described as male and wearing dark clothing, though no further details are available.

He reassured the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and urged anyone with information to assist in the investigation by contacting Thames Valley Police.

“I’d be particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from around the time of the incident to please check this and get in touch if you have captured anything that may help us.” DS Adby added.
