East Hendred is a village and civil parish located in the Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire, England. Historically in Berkshire, it has been admistered as part of Oxfordshire since the 1974 boundary changes. It is well connected to both the railway station in Didcot and the M4 motorway, making it the “most well connected village in Britain”.

Legend has it that King Edwin of Northumbria killed Cwichelm of Wessex here in the 7th century. Scutchamer Knob was also where the shire moot was held in the Middle Ages—today it is part of the Ridgeway National Trail.
