On May 19th, the Challows Royal British Legion Club, located in East Challow near Wantage, underwent an inspection by the Food Standards Agency and received an impressive four out of five stars for its food hygiene standards. This rating highlights the establishment’s dedication to maintaining good practices in food safety and hygiene. The inspection assessed key factors such as the hygienic handling of food, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities, and overall food safety management measures.
The achievement further reflects the strong commitment to food safety in the Vale of White Horse area. Out of 112 pubs, bars, and nightclubs assessed by the Food Standards Agency in the region, 69 establishments, or 62%, achieved the highest five-star rating. Notably, none of the venues received a zero rating, demonstrating the high standards maintained by local businesses.
