Abingdon Man Faces Court Over Bomb Hoax, Death Threats, and Theft Charges

Tyler Little, from Reynolds Way in Abingdon, is facing charges after allegedly informing Thames Valley Police of the presence of a bomb at a property in Faringdon.

The 23-year-old reportedly contacted the police on March 6, claiming he believed a bomb was located in Goodbody Close. He appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (March 3) for a plea and trial preparation hearing. He faces one count of ‘bomb hoax – communicating false information’ along with other alleged offences.

Little is also accused of making threats to kill multiple police officers on the same day.

In a separate incident, Little has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm on February 27 in Wantage, as well as two counts of theft from a shop on February 26 and 27. The accusations include taking 10 cans of Madri and 10 cans of Carlsberg from Rowes News Agents, in addition to a bottle each of Southern Comfort and Famous Grouse from Waitrose.

He is expected to stand trial for these charges on August 18 after pleading not guilty. A further case management hearing for these alleged offences will take place at the same court on May 16.
