We Are Saving the Children
Save the Children is a global organization that operates in over 100 countries, supporting children to transform their lives. For over 100 years, we have been working tirelessly to create a fairer world for children. Our values, history, and people make us who we are.
Working alongside children in 118 countries, including the UK, our objective is shared by all global Save the Children members: we aim to achieve the following goals by 2030:
- No child dies from preventable causes before their fifth birthday
- All children learn from a quality basic education
- Violence against children is no longer tolerated
Our approach involves providing life-saving short-term support, and pushing for deep-rooted social change that enables children to take their future into their own hands. Every child has the right to learn, have access to good food, and receive medicine when they are sick.
In partnership with families, supporters, and partners, we work relentlessly to help every child get the future they deserve. To this end, we leverage innovative solutions such as developing apps to help parents support early learning in Britain, kickstarting a reading revolution in Rwanda, and collaborating with GSK to develop an antiseptic gel that could save half a million babies' lives.
None of our work would be possible without the unwavering commitment of our 5 million UK supporters who support our initiatives by wearing Christmas jumpers, running our local shops, and organizing fundraising events.
