Urgent Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage Following Hit-and-Run Incident in Thames Valley

Thames Valley Police are urgently appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident on the A417 West Hendred to Wantage Road. The collision occurred at the junction with Grove Park Drive shortly before 8.10pm on October 21.

The incident involved a dark blue Mazda CX5, which was forced off the roadway near Grove Park. The vehicle responsible for the collision swiftly fled the scene, and authorities are working to identify it.

Unfortunately, a teenage girl who was a passenger in the Mazda sustained minor injuries. She required hospital treatment and remains under medical supervision. Efforts to locate the driver who failed to stop at the scene are ongoing.

Investigation Underway

PC Keith Steward from the Roads Policing Unit is leading the investigation. He has emphasized the importance of public assistance, particularly from witnesses and individuals who may have relevant dash-cam footage.

He stated, “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision to please contact Thames Valley Police. I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.”
