Roshni Ray, founder of Tikka and Tadka, is competing for the Best Solopreneur title in this year’s awards, celebrating the accomplishments of outstanding female entrepreneurs across the UK.
Debbie Gilbert, the founder of the Best Businesswomen Awards, remarked, “This is the 11th year of these awards, and we’ve seen an incredible calibre of entries. Tikka and Tadka, led by Ms. Ray, is a locally-grown Indian food business inspired by her childhood in Kolkata and her mother’s cooking. Roshni offers regional curry boxes, bespoke catering, supper clubs, and street food pop-ups that celebrate authentic Indian home cooking with a focus on sustainability and seasonal ingredients. Running a business alone has its challenges, but also immense joy, and I’m grateful to be recognised among such inspiring women.”

The winners of the Best Businesswomen Awards 2025 will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Daventry Court Hotel in Daventry on October 10. Gold winners will be named in each category during the event.
