Firefighter Doran and firefighter Hackwood have both achieved significant milestones that will enhance their capabilities in emergency situations.
Mr. Doran successfully completed his intensive two-week firefighting basic course last week, qualifying him to join the team on the fire engine.
“This means you’ll be seeing a new face on the fire engine, ready to serve and protect our local community and the surrounding areas,” a station spokesman shared.
“Please join us in welcoming firefighter Doran to the crew – we’re proud to have him on board.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Hackwood has successfully passed his team leader assessment for breathing apparatus operation.
“This means he can now lead a team of firefighters in hazardous environments where the atmosphere may make breathing difficult, whether due to a smoky building or an incident involving chemicals,” added the spokesman.
“This achievement is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to both professional development and keeping our communities safe.
Well done – a fantastic milestone in your fire service journey.”
