Thames Valley Police swiftly responded to a reported altercation in the heart of Wantage town centre at around 10:45 pm on Friday, April 25.
In the initial response, authorities detained four individuals. However, one has since been released without any further action, while the remaining three continue to be on police bail as the investigation unfolds.
A representative from Thames Valley Police shared, “Thames Valley Police received a call just before 10:45 pm on April 25, reporting a stabbing in Market Place, Wantage. We urge anyone with information about this incident to contact 101 or report online, quoting the investigation reference number 43250202295.”
The individuals arrested include a 21-year-old man from Wantage, suspected of affray and possession of a class A controlled substance. Additionally, a 25-year-old Oxford resident is under suspicion for affray, robbery, and possession of a class A controlled substance, while a 20-year-old man from Oxford is suspected of affray and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
