Join the Abingdon Fun Day: A Half-Term Extravaganza for Families with Activities Galore!

Abingdon Fun Day is set to take place on Wednesday, May 28, at the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, running from 9am to 3pm. The day promises an array of activities including titan tots, bouncy castle, born to move classes, football coaching, dance workshops, new age kurling and boccia, family pickleball, junior spin, and aqua splash, among others.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about local health and wellbeing programs like YouMove and Move Together. Councillor Helen Pighills, cabinet member for health and wellbeing at Vale of White Horse District Council, emphasized the value of these events, stating: “These activities will be fantastic for children, teenagers, and families to enjoy together in the May half-term. From Abingdon Fun Day to exciting live shows and creative arts, there’s something for all ages. We encourage families to book early and take advantage of these free and low-cost opportunities.”

In addition, half-term events in Didcot and Wantage will offer storytelling and creative fun. On Saturday, May 31, Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot will host “Woodland Tales with Granddad,” a puppet-filled adventure suitable for all ages. On Wednesday, May 28, at 11am, children can join Cornerstone’s bug friends craft session to unleash their creativity.

The Beacon in Wantage will feature the classic musical “Fiddler on the Roof” from May 30 to 31. Given that spaces for certain sessions are limited, early booking is recommended to ensure participation.
