Barbara Broadbent of Vale Avenue in Grove, Wantage, passed away on July 28 at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
An inquest regarding the 90-year-old’s death was initiated at Oxford Coroner’s Court by area coroner Nicholas Graham on Thursday, August 7.
Reports indicate that Ms. Broadbent, who hailed from Greater Manchester and dedicated her life as a homemaker, experienced a fall at her residence on July 23, resulting in a head injury.
She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital five days later.
The clinical cause of death was determined to be “acute subdural haemorrhage,” a condition characterized by the collection of blood between the skull and the brain’s surface.
The complete inquest is scheduled to occur at the same court on November 10 at 2pm.
