Gladman Developments Aims to Boost Biodiversity and Affordable Housing in Shrivenham Proposal

Gladman Developments has submitted an application for outline planning permission to construct residential properties in the village of Shrivenham, which lies near Faringdon and Uffington. The proposed development encompasses almost five acres of land along the A420 main road on the western side of Shrivenham.

The developers have indicated that 35% of the new homes would be allocated as affordable housing, aiming to address local housing needs. Plans also include a village green featuring a natural-themed play area at its center and a pond to enhance biodiversity by supporting the wetland habitat in the region.

Currently in the consultation phase, the application awaits a final decision from the council, expected by July 6.

Residents and businesses in the area looking to share their opinions or stay informed during the consultation process might find relevant resources in the Support Groups and Services category of the Wantage Business Directory.
