On Saturday, April 8th, a garage fire at a property in Charlton Village, Wantage, prompted a swift emergency response, with fourteen firefighters arriving on the scene just after 8:30 am. Fire engines from both Didcot and Abingdon Fire Stations were dispatched as the blaze took hold of the garage, posing a serious risk of spreading to the main house.
Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, worked quickly and efficiently, using high-pressure hose reels to bring the fire under control.
