Wantage Primary Academy, located in Oxfordshire, partnered with Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, a well-known home construction company, to host an art competition that combined fostering creativity among students with engaging the wider community.
The initiative attracted 23 enthusiastic young artists, who submitted amazing designs that showcased their talent and creativity. The exceptional artworks will be showcased within the school and distributed across the local community, emphasizing the impressive skills of the students while enhancing community engagement in educational activities.
A judging panel from Downland at Kingsgrove, a prominent housing development in Wantage and part of Taylor Wimpey, had the daunting task of selecting winners from the array of talent presented. After careful evaluation, three outstanding designs were chosen as top entries.
Mya achieved first place with her remarkable design, followed by Grace in second place and Riyanshi in third. All participants demonstrated exceptional artistic abilities, making it a memorable competition.
To reward their efforts, the young artists received Amazon gift vouchers as prizes. Mya won £50 for her top entry, while Grace and Riyanshi each received £25 for their designs. This recognition highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity among students and rewarding their hard work.
Beyond the art competition, Taylor Wimpey extended its support with a monetary donation of £150 to Wantage Primary Academy, demonstrating a commitment to fostering community spirit and supporting education.
