Robert Burns, who passed away in 1796 at the age of 37, continues to be recognized as the most prominent poet writing in the Scots dialect. His notable works include “To a Mouse,” “Address to a Haggis,” “Tam O’Shanter,” “A Red, Red Rose,” and “The Selkirk Grace.”
In addition to his literary achievements, Burns was known for his numerous love affairs and his radical political stances, demonstrating sympathy for the French and American revolutions.
