Thames Valley Police recently issued a statement addressing crimes against farmers following the theft of equipment from Kaleb Cooper, a well-known personality from the Amazon series. The alert aims to protect the local agricultural community as harvesting season intensifies.
The Wantage and Grove Neighbourhood team highlighted the dedication of farmers, stating, “As we move into harvest season, our beautiful countryside is buzzing with activity. Farmers are working long hours to bring in the crops, and it’s a crucial time for the land and the people who care for it. We’re incredibly lucky to live in such a stunning area, and we want to take a moment to thank our local farmers for their hard work and commitment to keeping our countryside thriving.”
The community is encouraged to support farmers by adhering to footpaths, keeping dogs under control, and disposing of litter responsibly. Residents should report any unusual activities related to “countryside crimes” such as hare coursing, thefts of machinery and fuel, fly-tipping, and criminal damage.
The police emphasized, “These crimes don’t just affect farmers. They impact all of us who care about this land. If you see suspicious activity or vehicles in rural areas, report it to us.”
In a related incident in Oxfordshire, near Charlbury, Kaleb Cooper reported the overnight theft of his John Deere tractor and gear, which occurred between Tuesday, July 29, and Wednesday, July 30. Cooper expressed his frustration on Instagram, urging people to raise awareness about the theft.
