Truck Festival 2025: An Unmissable Weekend of Music, Comedy, and Community Spirit!

Gracing a site at Hill Farm in Steventon, near Didcot, from today until Sunday, the festival has been a staple for music lovers since 1998. Despite the years, this Truck Festival shows no sign of losing momentum with another stellar line-up.

Highlights include performances by Kasabian, Courteeners, Nothing But Thieves, and cult acts like The Last Dinner Party, Blossoms, Franz Ferdinand, Wunderhorse, and Maxïmo Park. The line-up also features Reytons, CMAT (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson), Natasha Bedingfield, Fat Dog, The Big Moon, Sports Team, and The Clause. Last night, the festival opened its gates for a special show by the renowned Bloc Party.

The event, founded by musician brothers Robin and Joe Bennett of Goldrush and The Dreaming Spires, began as a birthday bash for Robin. It upholds a tradition of resisting the commercialism seen in larger festivals, instead focusing on the essence of music and emerging talent. Though Robin and Joe have passed on the baton, the festival’s spirit lives on. They continue to influence it through their eco-friendly Wood Festival near Wallingford and by hosting a stage for new, largely local bands and returning Truck stars. Their Veterans and Virgins stage is a cherished corner, beloved by generations of Oxfordshire festival-goers and artists who gained their fame there.

This year, The Dreaming Spires will headline the Veterans and Virgins stage on Saturday to launch their new album, a vibrant display of Americana-flavored country-rock. Community engagement is a cornerstone of Truck Festival’s unique appeal. Attendees can give back through the Truck Festival Feel Good Food Hall, which involves over 150 volunteers from various good causes offering delicious meals all weekend. Among these volunteers are members of the Didcot Rotary Club, showing dedication to supporting charities.

Each year, Truck Festival raises over £100,000, distributing 38 grants of up to £25,000 to local community projects, such as breastfeeding cafes and the Oxfordshire Foster Care Association. With a line-up that showcases some of the country’s rising and distinguished artists, Truck Festival remains a haven for rock enthusiasts. Yet, it offers more than indie bands; expect stars and emerging talents from pop, punk, electronica, dance, drum & bass, and hip-hop, in addition to singer-songwriters and unexpected delights.

Festival Manager Lily Brimble expressed excitement about the festival. She noted the continuous affection shown for Truck Festival and the unprecedented ticket demand this year. Brimble stated, “Establishing itself as a definitive weekend in the summer calendar for music lovers, Truck Festival offers a packed line-up full of laugh-out-loud character and leading names in indie and alternative music.

“Widely recognized as the best value festival ticket of the UK season, this weekend is set to be a landmark edition, welcoming festival-goers into Good Times – that’s a promise!”

The festival boasts its most extensive comedy line-up yet, headlined by the exceptional Reggie Watts. The event continues late into the night with the famed Palm City x Switch takeover, featuring artists like Songer, High Contrast, and Fish56Octagon.

The array of novel artists, including Courting, Kingfishr, Honeyglaze, The Pill, Westside Cowboy, Brogeal, and The Slow Country, confirms that Truck Festival 2025 is shaping up to be the most exciting edition so far, filled with many surprises.

Other noteworthy performers include Lambrini Girls, Alfie Templeman, Lime Garden, Scouting For Girls, Luvcat, Chloe Slater, Daydreamers, Only The Poets, Cardinals, and Moonchild Sanelly.

The Truck team promises an exhilarating weekend packed with attractions and familiar charms that festival-goers have come to adore. They say, “Truck Festival thrives on its variety, whether it’s music, comedy, or late-night celebrations. It’s enveloped by the spirit of a festival that cherishes fun.

“Spanning multiple stages, Truck is the destination for those eager to discover the most exciting artists in the indie scene now. It’s a yearly gathering of like-minded individuals celebrating music and life for one special weekend.

“Open a mosh-pit with The Oxford Symphony Orchestra, freshen up with a Saturday morning workout with Mr. Motivator, or join Shaun Williamson for another round of Barrioke. Discover your next favorite artist, revel in massive headline moments, and paint the night away. It all happens at Truck Festival.”
