The American Dance School recently participated in a dance competition on Saturday, June 7, in Warwick, showcasing their skills against hundreds of top dancers from across England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
Two standout dancers from the school, Ava Tatum-Hale and Sam Bridle, were honored with the titles of Mr and Mrs Senior International Final.
Ava performed a dance titled “A New Storm,” alongside Holly Helm, which achieved the highest score among all senior duos or trios across various dance styles. Sam also excelled, securing a spot in the top four highest-scoring duos or trios with Summer Kerman in a routine called “How Deep is Your Love.”
In a solo category that featured over 350 competitors, both Ava and Sam placed in the top 10 for the senior category, which includes dancers aged 15 and over.
Director Jillian Clipsham shared: “This achievement coincides beautifully with our eighth anniversary celebrated just three days later. The progress and accomplishments of our school are truly remarkable.
“The pride I feel for our school is immeasurable. Hearing our dancers’ names during the award ceremony moved me to tears. Witnessing them compete in such a prestigious and tough event with grace and confidence—culminating in their recognition as champions—shows how their dedication has truly paid off.
“While I always knew their talent, seeing it acknowledged in such a significant way is both a humbling and exhilarating experience.”
