A total of 147 runners participated in the Grove Fields parkrun on Saturday, January 4, despite the freezing conditions.
The parkrun events are held every Saturday at Grove Fields, Mably Way in Wantage, offering a great opportunity for community engagement. Among the runners was Luke Hames-Brown, who has been living with motor neurone disease (MND) for three years. He encourages everyone to join in parkruns.
The organisers of the Grove Fields parkrun expressed their delight: “Happy New Year to the 147 runners, joggers, and walkers who braved the cold to be part of today’s parkrun. We welcomed 18 first-timers, 27 tourists to Grove Fields, and celebrated seven milestone runs.”
