Walfinch is proud to announce its inclusion in this year’s UK Fast Growth Index. Out of 5.6 million businesses nationwide, only 350 earned this prestigious recognition, highlighting Walfinch’s significant impact within the UK economy.
Validation of the Home Care Sector
CEO Amrit Dhaliwal shared his enthusiasm about the recognition, describing it as a testament to the home care sector’s potential for both community impact and sustainable profits. Dhaliwal, who founded Walfinch in 2019, drew on his experience in the hospitality and property industries to address gaps in home care. His vision led to the creation of a successful model for delivering personalised care services through a network of locally operated franchisees.
Walfinch’s Growth and Influence
Today, Walfinch proudly supports 33 local franchisee Managing Directors, providing high-quality, localised care across the UK. Its 494 professional carers care for over 699 individuals, with some locations achieving annual turnovers of up to £2 million. The company’s strong focus on sustainable growth and high standards has positioned it as a leader in personalised care.
“We’ve developed sustainable and profitable methods for individual businesses to deliver quality care,” Dhaliwal said. “Our strategies support our network of franchisees in building thriving businesses, and we aim to expand further with the help of more passionate franchisees.”
Understanding the Fast Growth Index
The UK Fast Growth Index highlights businesses achieving at least 20% annual growth, representing less than 1% of all UK businesses. Despite their small numbers, these companies are responsible for half of the total turnover among small- and medium-sized enterprises and drive significant job creation. Their innovation paves the way for fresh products, services, and processes, making them vital contributors to the UK economy.
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, founder of the UK Fast Growth Index, remarked, “The businesses listed in this year’s UK Fast Growth Index represent the best of British entrepreneurship. Their collective contributions are driving significant economic growth, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the UK economy.”
Recognising British Entrepreneurship
This year’s index spotlights the top 50 fastest-growing businesses across seven regions and nations in the UK, evaluating growth in turnover over a two-year period. Events like these aim to build a supportive community around enterprising businesses while celebrating their achievements at every stage. Walfinch’s specific ranking will be unveiled during the UK Fast Growth Awards ceremony on November 28 at London’s Bloomsbury Big Top.
