Simon Snuggs, a 54-year-old resident of Tighe Close in Wantage, admitted to committing a burglary at a residence on Faringdon Road in East Challow. The crime occurred on Saturday, December 16, between 1.54pm and 2.22pm. The stolen items included sentimental jewellery and various alcoholic beverages.
The swift actions of law enforcement led to Snuggs’ arrest on the following Monday, and he was formally charged the next day. He appeared in court on Tuesday, December 19, at Oxford Magistrates’ Court, where he faced charges of burglary dwelling and theft. During the proceedings, he pleaded guilty to the offences, acknowledging his unlawful actions of entering private property and taking valuables with both economic and emotional significance.
Following his guilty plea, the court granted Snuggs bail. This means he is temporarily free under the condition that he adheres to specific terms set by the court and appears for subsequent legal proceedings.
