Since our humble beginnings in 1982 in the village of Shaw in Wiltshire, where our focus was on finding employment for disabled individuals, we have evolved into a diverse and multifaceted charity, with employment as the central pathway to a better life. For us, being part of the solution means creating the conditions for this to happen, and advocating and delivering services that can truly make a difference. Through partnership, rather than competition, we aim to work collaboratively with other purpose-led organizations, sharing a common goal of creating a fairer, more equal society that centers on opportunities for all.
The principles that Shaw Trust was founded on nearly four decades ago continue to guide us today, as we strive to empower others. With over 3,000 employees and 700 volunteers working across the UK, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating positive change.
