Camel Pre-School is a charity-run preschool at Stockham Primary School on Stockham Way in Wantage, for children aged 2 to 5, including those with special needs. It opened as Camel Playgroup in September 1969, took its current name in 1997 and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
Each child has a personal keyworker, with a high ratio of adults to children and plenty of chances for families to get involved. Names go on the waiting list from 18 months, children can visit a session before starting, and the preschool also runs holiday clubs.
