Beekeeping charity for the Vale of White Horse, with a teaching apiary near Wantage, beginners' courses
Vale & Downland Beekeepers Association is a beekeeping charity affiliated to the British Beekeepers Association, and was formerly known as Wantage & District BKA. It runs a teaching apiary with a beginners’ area, and theory courses for newcomers to beekeeping.
Apiary sessions take place on Saturdays during the beekeeping season, and the association has a local watch team for the yellow-legged hornet.
