Baby and children's clothes for local families

Wantage and Grove Children's Clothes Bank collects baby and children's clothes and distributes them to those who need them. It partners with the charity Little People and responds to direct requests from the community to help local families.

The Clothes Bank believes every child deserves warmth and comfort, whatever their family's financial situation, and knows that having children can be expensive.

It is run by Wantage Community Church, which is part of Oxfordshire Community Churches, a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (company number 3223210, registered charity number 1056921).

If you need children's clothes

If you need clothes for a baby or child, email the Clothes Bank at w.g.clothesbank@gmail.com.

The Clothes Bank responds to direct requests from people in the community, and also works with the charity Little People to reach families who need help.

Where to leave donations

Please give baby and children's clothes in good condition. You can leave them at any of these collection points:

  • Wantage Parish Church, Church Street, Wantage (open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 12 noon)
  • St John's Church office, Main Street, Grove (open Monday to Friday, 10am to 12 noon)
  • The Mix, Mill Street, Wantage
  • Down to Earth Cafe, The Old Stables, Stirling Close, Wantage
  • The Cornerstone Cafe, Savile Way, Grove
  • Wantage Community Church Toddler Group, at the Methodist Church Hall off Newbury Street (Friday mornings in term time, 9.15am to 11.15am)
  • Wantage Baptist Church Toddler Group, at Wantage Baptist Church (Thursday mornings in term time)
