St John Ambulance Wantage is the local unit of the first aid charity, meeting at the Loyd Lindsay Rooms in Wantage. It has groups for Badgers, aged 5 to 10, and Cadets, aged 11 to 18, as well as adult volunteers.
Members keep their first aid skills fresh through weekly training and a social calendar, and adult volunteers help locally, around Oxfordshire and further afield. Roles also include catering, admin, fundraising and publicity, and newcomers are welcome to come to a meeting with no obligation to join.
